Hi John,

I'm pretty sure agree with you. Personally, I do not understand why someone would choose not to wear a seatbelt. However, I have a libertarian streak in me, and I feel it's a slippery slope for the government to make laws to protect us against ourselves (like the ban on trans fats in New York City restaurants).

I was wondering what you thought about seatbelt laws for children (or car seats)? Should parents be required to make sure their kids are buckled up?
